Terms of Use
Last updated 3 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and FastOption. They explain how your account, your money and your contracts work, including the parts that can cost you money. Please read them before you deposit.
1. About these terms
In these terms, "FastOption", "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of this website and trading platform. "You" means the person who holds the account. "Contract" means an option contract you buy on FastOption.
By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use FastOption.
2. Who can use FastOption
To open and use an account you must:
- be at least 18 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live;
- be using FastOption for yourself, not on behalf of someone else;
- give true, complete and current details, and keep them up to date;
- hold only one account;
- be somewhere that trading these products is lawful for you.
Some countries ban or restrict retail options, including short-duration and digital options. It is your responsibility to check the rules that apply to you. We may refuse or close an account where we believe the service isn't lawful or suitable to provide.
3. What FastOption is and isn't
FastOption is a platform for buying short-term option contracts, priced and settled as described in these terms.
- No advice. We don't give investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Nothing on the platform is a recommendation to buy any contract. You make your own decisions.
- No ownership. A contract gives you no ownership of any currency, index, metal, share or other underlying asset.
- Not a bank. Your balance is not a bank deposit, earns no interest and isn't covered by a deposit protection or investor compensation scheme unless we tell you otherwise in writing.
- Regulatory status. Don't assume that FastOption holds a particular licence because it offers a product or payment method. If it matters to your decision, ask us for our current regulatory status through the Support page before you deposit.
- Independent of Deriv. We use market data from Deriv's public feed. FastOption is a separate business. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Deriv, and your agreement and account are with us, not Deriv.
4. Risk warning
By using FastOption you accept these risks:
- Total loss. Most contract types either pay a set amount or nothing. You can lose your full stake within seconds.
- The odds include our margin. Payouts are set so that, over many contracts, buyers as a group are expected to get back less than they stake. Repeated trading tends to reduce your balance.
- Past results. Previous prices, last-digit statistics and your own past wins don't predict future results. Digit statistics on the platform are a record of what happened, not a forecast.
- Speed. Prices move while you decide, and a tick-based contract can end in moments.
- Technology. Connections, the price feed, our servers and third-party services can fail.
- Trading can become harmful. If trading is affecting your finances, relationships or wellbeing, stop and read the responsible trading section on our Support page.
5. We are your counterparty
You trade against FastOption, not against other customers or an exchange. When you lose a contract we keep the stake. When you win, we pay you from our own funds. This means our financial interest is opposed to yours on each contract.
We manage that conflict by pricing and settling by fixed rules: quotes come from an outside source (section 12), and settlement follows the rules in sections 10 and 11. Your contract isn't sent to Deriv or to any other market.
6. Your account
- Phone number. If the phone number on your account is a Kenyan Safaricom number, it is the only number M-Pesa withdrawals can go to. You can change it from your profile by confirming your password. To protect your account, M-Pesa withdrawals pause for 48 hours after a change, and requests made before the change still go to the old number.
- Password. Keep your password private and don't reuse it from another service. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
- Sessions. Signing in keeps you signed in on that browser for up to 30 days unless you log out. Log out on any device you share.
- Responsibility. You're responsible for activity on your account, unless it results from our failure. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has had access.
7. Your balance
Balances are held and shown in US dollars.
Real and Demo balances
Your account has two separate balances. Demo starts with $10,000 of practice funds so you can learn the terminal. It isn't real money and can't be withdrawn. Real holds the money you deposit.
What you can withdraw
Your withdrawable amount is shown when you click your balance. It is the lower of these two figures:
- your current Real balance; and
- your completed M-Pesa, card and crypto deposits, minus the withdrawals you've already requested (other than rejected ones).
8. Deposits
| Method | Limits per deposit | When it's added |
|---|---|---|
| M-Pesa, through Paystack | KES 10 to KES 150,000 | Once the payment is verified with Paystack |
| Credit or debit card, through Paystack | The KES equivalent of $10 to $10,000 | Once the payment is verified with Paystack |
| USDT (TRC20) | From $10 | After we manually check the transfer and approve it |
- Your own money. Deposits must come from a card, mobile money account or wallet that you own and are authorised to use.
- Conversion. M-Pesa and card deposits are charged in Kenyan shillings and added in dollars at the rate we set. The deposit form shows the estimate before you pay.
- Crypto transfers. Send only USDT on the TRC20 network to the address shown in the deposit form. Crypto sent on the wrong network or in the wrong asset may be permanently lost. A transaction hash can be used for one deposit claim only. We may decline a claim we can't match to a transfer.
- Saved cards. If you choose to save a card, Paystack gives us a token and basic card details so you can pay again without re-entering them. You can remove a saved card at any time. See the Privacy Policy.
- Reversals. If a deposit is reversed, charged back or found to be unauthorised, we may deduct it from your balance, cancel related withdrawals and suspend the account while we investigate.
9. Withdrawals
| Method | Limits | Destination |
|---|---|---|
| M-Pesa | $10 to $10,000 per request | Only the phone number on your account |
| USDT (TRC20) | From $20 | Your wallet address at Binance or OKX, on the network you choose |
| USDT (BEP20) | From $20 | |
| USDT (ERC20) | From $50 | |
| BTC | From $50 | |
| ETH | From $30 |
- Reserved straight away. The amount leaves your balance when you submit the request, so it can't be traded or withdrawn twice.
- Reviewed by a person. Every withdrawal is checked and paid manually. We don't promise a fixed payment time, and you can follow the status under Cashier.
- Rejected requests. If we reject a withdrawal, the amount goes back to your balance.
- Checks. We may ask for information to confirm who you are or where funds came from before paying, and we may delay or refuse a withdrawal where we have to by law, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or a breach of these terms.
- Check your address. Crypto transfers can't be reversed. You're responsible for entering the correct address and network.
- Conversion. M-Pesa withdrawals are paid in Kenyan shillings at the rate we set at the time of the request.
10. How contracts work
Pricing
The payout shown on the buy button is a live quote and changes with the market. When you press buy, our server gets a fresh quote and that quote sets your contract. If the fresh payout is more than 2% below the one you saw, the purchase is stopped so you can review the new figure. If it has moved less than that, or moved in your favour, your contract uses the fresh quote.
Limits
Minimum stakes, maximum stakes, maximum payouts, durations and available contract types vary by market and come with the quote. If a quote can't be given, for example because a market is closed, you can't buy the contract. Durations on FastOption run from 1 tick to 1 day.
Entry price
Your entry price is the first market tick after the quote used for your purchase, so it may differ from the price on screen when you pressed buy. Barriers set as a distance are measured from this entry price.
Exit price
- Tick contracts end on the stated number of ticks after the entry tick. Asians and High Tick/Low Tick count the entry tick as the first of the stated number.
- Time contracts end at the expiry time, using the last tick at or before it. The settlement can be shown a moment later, when the next tick confirms expiry has passed.
Settlement
Settlement is automatic and any payment goes to the balance the contract was bought with. Your record under Positions shows the stake, amount paid, entry price and exit price of each closed contract. A contract can't be cancelled after purchase, and only accumulators and multipliers can be closed early.
Purchase limit
Each connection is limited in how many purchases it can make per minute, to protect the platform.
11. Contract types
Not every type is offered on every market.
| Type | You win if | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Rise | Exit price is strictly above entry price | The quoted payout |
| Fall | Exit price is strictly below entry price | The quoted payout |
| Rise/Fall with Allow equals | As above, and an exit price equal to entry also wins | The quoted payout |
| Higher / Lower | Exit price is strictly above / below the barrier | The quoted payout |
| Touch | Any tick reaches the barrier before expiry. The contract ends at once | The quoted payout |
| No Touch | No tick reaches the barrier before expiry. A touch ends the contract at once as a loss | The quoted payout |
| Matches / Differs | Last digit of the exit price is / isn't your chosen digit | The quoted payout |
| Even / Odd | Last digit of the exit price is even / odd | The quoted payout |
| Over / Under | Last digit of the exit price is strictly above / below your chosen digit | The quoted payout |
| Vanilla Call / Put | Exit price finishes above / below the strike | Payout per point × distance beyond the strike, up to any maximum payout. Nothing if it finishes on the wrong side. This can be less than your stake |
| Turbo Long / Short | No tick reaches the barrier before expiry. A touch ends the contract at once as a total loss | Payout per point × distance beyond the barrier at expiry, up to any maximum payout. This can be less than your stake |
| Accumulator | Each tick stays within the permitted range around the previous tick | Your stake grows by the chosen rate on each such tick, and you collect its current value when you close. A tick outside the range loses the whole stake. The contract closes automatically at its maximum ticks or maximum payout |
| Only Ups / Only Downs | Every tick after the entry tick is strictly above / below the one before it. The first that isn't ends the contract at once as a loss | The quoted payout |
| High Tick / Low Tick | The tick you chose is the highest / lowest of the 5 ticks, counting the entry tick as tick 1 | The quoted payout |
| Ends Between / Ends Outside | Exit price is strictly between / strictly outside the high and low barriers | The quoted payout |
| Stays Between / Goes Outside | No tick reaches either barrier before expiry / a tick reaches either barrier. A touch ends the contract at once | The quoted payout |
| Asian Rise / Fall | The last tick is strictly above / below the average of all the ticks, counting the entry tick | The quoted payout |
| Reset Call / Put | Exit price is strictly above / below the barrier. The barrier starts at the entry price. Halfway through, it moves to the current price if the price has moved against you | The quoted payout |
| Multiplier Up / Down | The price moves your way by enough to cover the commission | Your stake, plus or minus stake × multiplier × the percentage move, minus the commission shown when you buy. There is no expiry and you collect the value when you close. The contract closes automatically if its value reaches zero, losing the whole stake, or if its profit reaches the maximum in the quote |
The last digit is read from the price at that market's normal number of decimal places, including any trailing zero. For example, 1376.50 at two decimals has a last digit of 0.
A vanilla or turbo contract that pays back less than or the same as your stake is shown as a loss, even though you receive that amount.
12. Prices and market data
- Charts, quotes and settlement use Deriv's public market data feed.
- Derived indices, such as Volatility and Jump indices, are generated by Deriv's systems. They don't reflect a real-world market or asset.
- Prices for forex, metals and stock indices are this feed's prices. They can differ from prices quoted elsewhere, and those markets follow trading hours.
- For settlement, the ticks received by our server are the record. If your screen shows something slightly different because of your connection, our record applies, subject to section 14.
- We never use estimated or simulated prices to settle a contract.
13. Cancelled contracts
If we can't settle a contract on a real price, it's cancelled and your full stake is returned. This happens when the contract goes without a tick for more than 60 seconds on a derived index, or 5 minutes on other markets. Causes include a feed outage, a server restart, or a market closing early.
A cancelled contract neither wins nor loses. It is shown as refunded, even if the market later moved in your favour. An accumulator that is cancelled returns your original stake, not any growth it had built up.
A multiplier is different, because it has no expiry and you can close it at any time. If it goes without a tick for those periods it isn't cancelled: it closes at its value on the last real price received, which can be more or less than your stake. A multiplier that never received an entry price is cancelled and refunded.
14. Errors and corrections
Systems and people can make mistakes. If a contract is settled, or a balance is changed, because of a clear error (such as a wrong price, a software fault or a mistaken credit), we may correct it, including by adjusting your balance. This applies in both directions: if we find an error against you, we'll put it right.
We'll tell you about a correction that affects your balance and explain it. If you notice an amount that doesn't look right, tell us rather than using it. Knowingly withdrawing or trading with money credited in error is a breach of these terms.
15. Conduct we don't allow
You must not:
- use money from crime, launder money, finance terrorism or evade sanctions;
- use someone else's identity, card, phone number or wallet;
- open more than one account, or share or sell an account;
- exploit a bug, pricing error or data delay, or trade in a way designed to take advantage of one;
- interfere with, overload, scan or try to gain unauthorised access to the platform;
- make false chargeback claims or false deposit claims;
- abuse or threaten our staff.
If you do, we may suspend or close your account, and reverse contracts or credits that resulted from the conduct. We may report suspected crime to the authorities.
16. Suspension and closure
- Closing your account. You can close your account from your profile once you have no open contracts, no withdrawals or deposits in progress, and no Real balance. Withdraw what you're able to first. If part of your Real balance can't be withdrawn, contact us through the Support page to settle it. We'll pay any remaining withdrawable amount, subject to the checks in section 9.
- Suspending your access. You can also ask us to suspend your account for a break from trading.
- Our right to suspend or close. We may suspend or close an account if you breach these terms, if we suspect fraud or a legal problem, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
- While suspended. You won't be able to sign in. Any contracts already open continue to settle under these terms.
- Practice funds. Practice funds have no cash value and end when an account closes.
- Records. We keep transaction records after closure, as described in the Privacy Policy.
17. Fees and taxes
We don't charge a separate fee for opening an account, buying a contract, or making a deposit or withdrawal. Our margin is built into the payouts we offer (section 4). Your bank, mobile money provider, exchange or blockchain network may charge its own fees, and the conversion rate may differ from other rates you see.
You're responsible for any tax that applies to your trading.
18. Our liability
Nothing in these terms removes or limits a right or liability that can't legally be removed or limited, including under Kenya's consumer protection law, or liability for fraud or for death or injury caused by negligence.
Subject to that:
- we aren't liable for losses from contracts settled in line with these terms, or from your trading decisions;
- we aren't liable for failures outside our reasonable control, including outages at Deriv, Paystack, mobile networks, blockchains, internet providers or hosting companies;
- we provide the platform without a promise that it will always be available or free of faults, though we work to keep it reliable;
- we aren't liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit from a contract you didn't manage to buy;
- if we are liable to you for a contract, our liability is limited to the stake and any payout properly due on it.
19. Our content
The FastOption name, logo, software and site content belong to us or those who license them to us. You may use the platform for your own trading. You may not copy, resell or build a competing service from it, or scrape it by automated means, without our written permission.
20. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, follow the complaints steps on our Support page. Include your account email and the details of the contract or transaction. You may also have the right to go to a regulator, consumer body or court.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the platform or the law changes. We'll change the date at the top of this page. For a change that significantly affects you, we'll tell you in advance through the platform or by the contact details on your account. If you don't accept a change, stop using FastOption and ask to close your account before it takes effect. Contracts already open continue under the terms in force when you bought them.
22. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over disputes about them. If you live elsewhere, this doesn't remove any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
If part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest continues to apply. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer your account or these terms to anyone else.
