Find an answer below, or send us a message. For anything about a payment or contract, the details listed under "Contact us" will help us sort it out faster.

Contact us

What to include

  • The email address on your FastOption account
  • For a deposit: the method, amount, date and time, plus the M-Pesa confirmation message, the card payment reference or the crypto transaction hash
  • For a withdrawal: the method, amount, date and destination
  • For a contract: the market, contract type, stake and time, from Positions > Closed
  • For a fault: what you did, what you expected, your device and browser, and a screenshot if you have one

We'll never ask for your password, M-Pesa PIN, full card number, card security code or wallet seed phrase. Don't send them to anyone.

Deposits

Which deposit methods can I use?

M-Pesa and credit or debit cards through Paystack, and USDT on the TRC20 network. Open Cashier in the terminal and click Deposit to start.

MethodLimits per deposit
M-PesaKES 10 to KES 150,000
CardKES equivalent of $10 to $10,000
USDT (TRC20)From $10
I paid by M-Pesa or card, but my balance hasn't changed

We add a deposit once Paystack confirms the payment. Please try these steps:

  • Refresh the page, then check Cashier to see the deposit's status.
  • For M-Pesa, check you approved the prompt on your phone and received a confirmation message.
  • If you did pay and it still hasn't appeared, contact us with the confirmation message or payment reference. Please don't pay a second time until we've checked.
I sent USDT. Why is it still pending?

USDT deposits are checked by hand, so they stay pending until someone matches your transfer and approves it. Adding the transaction hash to the form speeds this up. Each hash can only be claimed once. Send only on the TRC20 network to the address shown in the form.

I sent crypto on the wrong network or to the wrong address

Contact us straight away with the transaction hash. Crypto transfers can't be reversed, and we may not be able to recover the funds.

How is the dollar amount worked out?

Balances are in US dollars. M-Pesa and card payments are in Kenyan shillings and converted at the rate we set. The deposit form shows the estimate before you pay. Your bank or provider may charge its own fees.

How do I remove a saved card?

Open Deposit, then choose card to see your saved cards. You can remove one from there. It only removes the card from FastOption, and doesn't affect your bank account.

Withdrawals

How do I withdraw?

Go to Cashier, choose Withdraw, then enter the amount and destination.

MethodLimits
M-Pesa, to the phone number on your accountFrom $10, up to KES 250,000 per request
USDT (TRC20 or BEP20)From $20
USDT (ERC20)From $50
BTCFrom $50
ETHFrom $30

Crypto withdrawals go to your Binance or OKX wallet address.

How much can I withdraw?

Click your balance in the terminal to see your withdrawable amount. It's your whole Real balance. The Demo balance can't be withdrawn. The Terms explain this in full.

Can I withdraw my winnings?

Yes. What your contracts on Real pay goes to your Real balance, and you can withdraw all of it. Winnings on Demo are practice money and can't be withdrawn.

How long does a withdrawal take?

Each withdrawal is reviewed by a person, so timing varies and we can't promise a set time. Once approved, M-Pesa withdrawals are sent straight to your number, usually within minutes, and show as "sending" until M-Pesa confirms them. Crypto withdrawals are sent by our team. The amount leaves your balance when you submit the request, and you can follow its status under Cashier. If it has been pending longer than you'd expect, contact us with the details.

Why was my withdrawal rejected?

The amount goes back to your balance automatically. We may reject a request if the details don't check out, or if we need more information. Contact us and we'll explain what happened.

Can I withdraw to a different M-Pesa number?

No. M-Pesa withdrawals only go to the number you signed up with, which protects your account if someone else gets access. If you've lost that number, contact us and we'll explain the options.

Contracts and payouts

Why does the payout keep changing?

It's a live quote. It moves with the market and depends on the contract type, duration, barrier and stake. Contracts more likely to win pay less.

I got "The price has changed". What does it mean?

The market moved and the new payout was more than 2% below the one on your screen, so we stopped the purchase to protect you. No money was taken. Check the new payout and buy again if you're happy with it.

Why is my entry price different from the price I saw?

Your entry price is the first tick after your purchase, not the price on screen when you pressed buy. This applies to everyone, and stops anyone buying on a price they've already seen.

I chose Rise and the price didn't move, but I lost

Rise needs the exit price to be strictly above the entry price, and Fall strictly below. If they're equal, the contract loses, unless you turned on Allow equals, which counts an equal exit as a win and has its own quoted payout.

How does each contract type work?

Select a contract in the terminal and open "How this contract works" for a short guide. The Terms set out the exact rule for each type.

Why can't I buy a contract on this market?

Not every contract type or duration is offered on every market. Volatility and Jump indices trade around the clock. Forex, metals and stock indices follow market hours, and may be closed or have breaks in trading. The message on the trade panel gives the reason.

Can I close a contract early?

Only accumulators and multipliers, using the Close button on the open position. Every other contract runs until it expires, or until a barrier ends it.

My vanilla contract paid something, but it shows as a loss

Vanillas and turbos pay according to how far the price finished beyond the strike or barrier. A payment smaller than or equal to your stake still means you lost money overall, so it's shown as a loss.

My contract says "Refunded"

Live prices couldn't reach the contract for a period, for example during an outage or a market closing early, so we cancelled it and returned your full stake. We never settle on an estimated price.

I think a contract was settled wrongly

Open Positions > Closed and compare the entry and exit prices with the contract's rule. If it still looks wrong, contact us with the market, type, stake and time, and a person will check it against our price record.

Are the digit statistics a prediction?

No. They show how often each last digit appeared in recent ticks. They don't tell you what the next digit will be.

The terminal

The chart says "Reconnecting" or isn't moving

Your connection to live prices dropped, and the terminal will keep trying to reconnect. Check your internet connection, then refresh the page. Some ad blockers and strict network settings block the price connection, so try turning them off for this site or using another browser. Any open contract keeps running on our servers even if your screen disconnects.

Where do the prices come from?

Most markets use Deriv's public market data feed. FastOption is a separate business, and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Deriv. Derived indices are generated by Deriv's systems and don't reflect a real-world market.

Markets listed under FastOption House are generated by FastOption. Each price comes from secret seeds we commit to in advance and publish afterwards, so you can check every price yourself. The Practice Simulator is for your Demo balance only. We set how it behaves for practice, and its name says how.

I was signed out unexpectedly

Sessions end after 30 days, when you log out, and sometimes when we restart our servers for maintenance. Sign in again. Your balance and open contracts aren't affected by being signed out.

Your account

I forgot my password

Choose Password recovery on the sign-in page, enter your email and follow the steps. Codes last 10 minutes.

What is the Demo balance?

Every new account includes $10,000 of practice money so you can learn the terminal. It isn't real money and can't be withdrawn. It's kept apart from the Real balance, which holds money you deposit. Switch between them on the Markets page. Each contract uses the balance selected when you buy it, and contracts bought on Real can lose your money.

How do I change my email, name or phone number?

Click your name in the terminal to open your profile. You can change your name in Personal details, unless your identity has been verified or is under review, and your phone number in Change phone number. M-Pesa withdrawals go to that number, so they pause for 48 hours after a change. To change your email, or a name that's already been verified, contact us. We may check that the request came from you before changing anything.

Why has my account been suspended?

Contact us from the email on your account and we'll explain, where we're able to. Open contracts still settle while an account is suspended.

How do I close my account or delete my data?

Click your name in the terminal to open your profile, then choose Close account. Withdraw your Real balance first, and your open contracts must have finished. If what's left is below the minimum withdrawal, contact us to settle it. To delete your data, contact us from the email on your account. We must keep some financial and verification records after closure, as the Privacy Policy explains.

Security and scams

How do I keep my account safe?
  • Use a long password that you don't use anywhere else.
  • Log out on shared devices.
  • Check the website address before you sign in.
  • Keep your email account and phone secure.
I think someone has accessed my account

Reset your password straight away, then contact us. We can suspend the account and review recent activity. Tell us about any withdrawal you didn't request.

Someone offered to trade for me, or promised guaranteed profit

Don't send them money or your login details. FastOption doesn't offer managed trading, signals or guaranteed returns, and our staff won't ask you to send money to a personal account. Only pay using the Deposit form inside your account. If you've been contacted this way, tell us.

Complaints

If we've got something wrong, we want to put it right.

  • Step 1. Contact us using a channel above, and start your message with "Complaint". Include your account email, what happened, the outcome you want, and any evidence.
  • Step 2. We'll confirm we've received it, and a person will review your account, contract or transaction records.
  • Step 3. We'll give you our answer and the reasons for it, and put right any error we find.
  • Step 4. If you aren't satisfied, you can ask for it to be looked at again by someone not involved in the first review.

If we still can't resolve it, you may be able to go to a regulator, consumer body or court. For a privacy complaint, you can go to Kenya's Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Responsible trading

Options trading is high risk and isn't a way to make a reliable income. Over many contracts, buyers as a group are expected to lose money, because payouts include our margin.

Ways to stay in control

  • Decide what you can afford to lose before you start, and stop when you reach it.
  • Never trade with money meant for rent, school fees, food or debts, and never borrow to trade.
  • Don't try to win back losses by raising your stakes.
  • Set a time limit, and take breaks. Short contracts can make time and money go fast.
  • Learn on the Demo balance before you deposit.

Warning signs

  • You spend more money or time than you meant to.
  • You hide your trading from people close to you.
  • You feel anxious or irritable when you aren't trading.
  • You have borrowed or sold things to fund your trading.

Take a break

Contact us and ask us to suspend your account, and we'll stop you signing in. If trading is harming you, please talk to someone you trust, or to a doctor or counsellor. If you're in immediate danger or feel unable to keep yourself safe, contact your local emergency services.
